Tehran's substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati stressed that Iran, and not the US, is the winner in the nuclear game.

He made the remark here Friday before thousands of worshipers who had gathered at Tehran University campus for the weekly Friday Prayers.

He said the ground was apt in the country for gaining progress and prosperity and noted that the new government, too, relying on the high number of positive votes it managed to gain from the public, is quite ready to serve people and move towards progress.

Ayatollah Jannati who is also secretary of the Guardians Council, went on to touch upon the conditions in Iraq and expressed happiness that following years of attempts and struggle an Islamic government was established there the Constitution of which was being compiled according to Islamic principles.

Saying that a growing number of countries were now embracing the Islamic Revolution, he believed all justice-seeking nations and states had no pattern to follow but that of the Islamic Iran.

Turning to the plots of world hegemonic powers against Iran, the Friday Prayers leader commented that they could never hinder Iran's progress however hard they tried.

Regretting the inhumane behaviors and the terrorist tactics prevailing today's world, he elaborated on the inhumane treatment of people in some of world countries.

He noted that people were constantly being checked under all conditions they were by the surveillance cameras in the western countries and said the British government has even recently gone so far to allow itself to arrest people without any legal permission and interrogate them on the spot.

He also wondered wether there would be any stop to the inhumane behaviors towards people in countries such as Afghanistan.

Elsewhere in his Sermons, the Ayatollah urged all cabinet ministers who have managed to gain parliament's vote of confidence to remain committed to the "very important and remarkable" allegiance they have made to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to serve people.

He also said the fact that a number of the proposed ministers failed to gain vote of confidence never meant the parliament disapproved of their characters but rather it indicated that the Majlis believed they were just not suitable for the post they were supposed to fill.

Jannati also believed that cabinet's holding its first formal session at the holy Shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad proved that the new ministers were only after serving people and upholding justice.
